In the summer of 2010, Energy Smart staff hits the streets in Northfield Minnesota.  Energy Smart contacted more than 300 businesses, first sending a personalized letter about the program and then following up with an in person follow-up/door-knock at the business site.  Staff conducted 55 on-site energy consultations and arranged 16 lighting audits for Northfield area businesses.  At least 9 energy upgrades have been completed as a result of these efforts.
