Funding Utilities

Energy Smart is a program started in 2008 by Minnesota Waste Wise, an affiliate program of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

The program is currently funded through Xcel Energy's conservation improvement program to help the utility meet state-mandated energy-savings goals. But Energy Smart continues to serve any Minnesota business, regardless of utility, and is coordinating projects with other utilities in the state.
